Hi Assalamualaikum,
Despite of my abundance
assignment I will share about my usrah today. As we have new member in our
family, we hold simple taaruf for each other. Just usual thing like sharing our
personal details and bla..bla…
***
Today we getting at page 584 at
surah An Naziat from 15 to 46. We just
do some reflection today instead of studying the ayah technically.
The theme is how Allah try to
entertain our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w through the true story of Musa.
From my perspective , if I put
myself in Musa shoes, I do understand a bit how complicated his feeling when
Allah tasked him to go and preach Firaun .
Just imagine,
Musa have been living with Firaun
during his whole life before he escapes from his castle. No matter how cruel
and hard Firaun to others, he was someone who raise him till he adult and
somehow a father figure to Musa. Being Musa, no matter how hard he was being
treated I felt Musa might still have feel indebted and has tiny bit love for
Firaun.
When Allah asked him to return
and somehow try to correct the “father” who raise him before, I am sure his dilemma must be great.
Let me highlight one fact, did
you realize correcting someone who close to you is harder than correcting
someone who distant? Especially the person who you need to correct is someone
you indebted to.
But in this situation, it was
serious situation since what Firaun was
done was an incredible wrongdoing. His ultimate crime was denying the God and
claims to be the God. He is technically against the heaven.
Only Allah deserves to be
arrogant. I was actually impress Allah still gave chance to Firaun by asking
Musa to correct him. In fact, in another verse in Al Quran , Allah actually ask
Musa to advice Firaun politely. Even someone cruel and incredibly bad like
Firaun deserves his Mercy, why we who a bit better than Firaun must give up in
seeking his Mercy?
Then Allah has compared the
creation of human with his other creation like sky and earth which more
impressive than human being. Sky was technically a biggg roof without pillars
while Earth was a broad mats he create supporting lifebeing. As a human, we
living on earth while being covered by sky.
Sky and Earth was always there
even without human being while we are not. We can’t live without it.
We are then moved to the dua.
My Lord, make me an establisher
of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my
supplication. (40) Our Lord, forgive me and my
parents and the believers the Day the account is established. (41)
-Surah IBRAHIM 14: 40-41 -
If I must told you the complete history
behind this dua , it will take another few pages for me to complete. The
summary, it was because this verse Nabi Ibrahim became significance until he
was asked to be remembered in the last tahiyat. (tahiyat akhir).
Then we shared another prayer,
“ So [Solomon] smiled, amused at
her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor
which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of
which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous
servants."
-Surah An NAML 27:19-
The story of Nabi Sulaiman who has
been entertained by the group of ant was so cute until he pray like that. This
verse was close to this hadith:
Salman Al-Farisi reported: The
Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has
one hundred portions of mercy. From one portion the creation has been given
mercy between themselves and ninety nine portions are reserved for the Day of
Resurrection.”
Source: Sahih Muslim 2753
I know this posting was supposed
to be English but I am more comfortable sharing hadith and verse in malay since
my demographic is Malay.
So the hadith translation:
Dalam hadith yang diriwayatkan
oleh Muslim dan Salman Al-Farisi ra berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda:
“Sesungguhnya Allah mempunyai rahmat 100, 1 di antaranya iaitu rahmat yang
menjadikan makhluk itu sayang-menyayangi. Dan yang 99 nanti akan diturunkan
pada hari kiamat”.
So now you know, no matter how deep our feeling toward our beloved person, nothing can be compared with Allah love.
Your truly ,
